Do not spit out grape seeds! Or take Vino Vida. They contain interesting ingredients such as OPC or resveratrol.
Vino Vida – OPC from grape seeds
Grape seeds contain a remarkable amount of OPC (oligomeric proanthocyanidins). [loggedin]These secondary plant substances are among the best researched (see studies on PubMed). [/loggedin] We pay attention to a particularly high OPC content when selecting grapes.
We use a grape seed extract of the highest quality from Italian grapes, which is extracted using a gentle process.
Another secondary plant substance in grape seeds is resveratrol.
How do we measure the OPC content?
There are various measurement methods to determine the OPC content. The vanillin HCI analysis method is often used. This has the property that the result of the OPC content is much higher, as other catechins are added. We use the NP-HPLC method for our OPC measurement. This shows a more accurate result, which is, however, much lower. To show the comparison of both measurement methods, we tested Vino Vida with both measurement methods. You can find the OPC analysis of Vino Vida here.

High antioxidant capacity
Vino Vida, or the grape seed extract from Italy used, has an excellent ORAC value[loggedin] of over 1,660,000 µmol TE/100g. The reasons for the high antioxidant capacity are the careful extraction and the very high polyphenol content[/loggedin]. Click here for the corresponding test report.

The French Paradox
in 1979, the “French Paradox” was first described in the scientific journal “The Lancet”. This refers to the observation that French people on average had better vascular health, even though they ate more fat, smoked more and exercised less. One possible explanation could be the higher consumption of red wine. With Vino Vida you benefit from the advantages of OPC and resveratrol, but without the disadvantages of alcohol!
