Vegan

Vegan living humans avoid either at least all food of animal origin or however the use of animals and animal products altogether. Ethically motivated vegans usually also make sure that clothing and other goods are free of animal products and have been produced without animal testing. Vegan living humans call as possible motives for their way of life arguments from the ranges animal ethics, animal rights, animal protection, climatic protection, environmental protection, health, distribution justice, world food problem or religion. Vegan products are also consumed by people who do not want to do without products of animal origin but want to minimize their consumption for the reasons mentioned.
notion
Unlike other members of the Vegetarian Society, Watson derived the term vegetarian not from the Latin vegetus but from the English vegetable. The term vegan first appeared in the Oxford Illustrated Dictionary in 1962 and was explained there as „vegetarian who eats no butter, cheese, or milk“. Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary currently refers to vegan as both the vegetarian who consumes neither animal food nor dairy products, and someone who avoids the use of animal products altogether. In the German-speaking countries the adjective vegan is also occasionally formed.
Current meaning dictionaries of the German language define the vegan as „vegetarian who completely renounces animal products“ or as „fan of veganism“.
